This book is about the Native American food Fly Bread. The author, Kevin Noble Maillard wanted to honor the food he grew up making & eating with his family. In this book, he potrays Native American people and their culture/traditions. Not only talking about food, Maillard highlights topics of different Native American arts, traditions, holidays, events, home and family. It is fun and educational while highlighting critical issues. Reading this book, I learned a lot myself and I feel like it’s definitely a classic book.
